Healthy Schools Plus is a recently ended public health programme in the CGPS. It was designed to build on the success of schools that had achieved ‘Healthy School’ status under the Department of Health’s national Healthy Schools Programme.
Healthy Schools Plus aimed to:
bring about healthier behaviours among children and young people in the CGPS
address key health issues such as obesity and poor mental health and
contribute towards reducing health inequalities in the CGPS.
